Met with my dissertation chair today via Zoom. It was a productive 30-minute chat. To be honest, I’ve been feeling a bit lost when thinking about ways to tie all of the elements of my research together. I needed a roadmap, a framework, much like the US DoT style guide

Filed under: things I didn’t think I’d like but do
I received a tube of L’Occitane en Provence hand lotion as a Christmas gift. It smelled like baby powder and old lady perfume. That sounds ungrateful, but I couldn’t tolerate it.
Thankfully, my son offered to exchange it for me on one of his visits to the mall. I told him to get me something more masculine. He returned with this tube of Almond Delicious Hands cream. Not what I would picked for a $30 tube of French hand lotion, but it’s really growing on me.

The rain keeps coming. This morning, I was startled out of bed by thunder and lightning at 3:45am. And it appears that conditions are ripe for a repeat. This weather is exhausting.

Spent a few hours yesterday helping my neighbor repair his backyard fence. The wind and rain was relentless again last night, but my fence lines held. Maybe they’ll hold for one more season.
